Details from the Monster Employment Index have shown that online recruitment, particularly through its own online job board has seen a 2% growth in July, which matches the rise of 1% that happened in June.
However, Germany seems to be the country within Europe that’s pushing these figures up as other countries, including us here in the UK – alongside France, Italy and Belgium have actually reduced demand in online recruitment.
Alan Townsend, Vice President of Sales Readiness and Business Operations for Monster Europe commented on this driving force from Germany:
“Germany remains the growth driver of online recruitment across Europe, providing buoyancy to an otherwise muted labour market. However, while the uncertain outlook of the EuroZone continues to impact recruitment levels, it is encouraging to see over half of industries remain positive in July, with sectors such as architecture, education and manufacturing seeing stronger demand.”
